Agencies Pass On 'the Pitch'

How hard can it be to brainstorm? After all we all have ideas... we wanted to share this fascinating article about a challenging 'ad agency' concept... "Who owns to idea?" Enjoy:

One of the things that challenge ad agencies is the concept of who owns the idea? Once you share the idea and your creative you can’t take it back. It’s a struggle every time you pitch a new client on how much do you tell them. You need to show them enough to prove you deserve the account but you don’t want to share everything because then there is no incentive to use you.
Knowing this I’m not too surprised to read agencies aren’t jumping on board the new reality show “The Pitch”. The premise is that real companies will put their business up for review. Agencies will have a chance to develop creative and a strategy to pitch to the client.?
