Dawes Makes TV Debut on Late Late Show

Pomegranate client Dawes, an L.A.-based rock band, made its network television debut last week on CBS's The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Dawes performed "When My Time Comes," the first single from its new album North Hills.

Here’s a video of their performance:

With a second review in Rolling Stone last October and now a network television appearance under their belts, Dawes has the recognition to support the new album with its ambitious tour across the U.S. and Canada. The band's upcoming performances at big-name music festivals like Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza will likely attract more fans to their following.

Dawes is one band to keep an eye on. Their folksy sound is a breath of fresh air compared to the 80s-inspired synth pop that's characterizing a lot of indie lately. Dawes goes back to basics—no high-tech effects, just four talented musicians and a focus on great songwriting. They might not start a dance party, but Dawes's slow-and-steady guitar strumming and sugary sweet vocal harmonies are sure to win over new crowds and more of the media.

More Dawes music, videos and tour dates are available on the Dawes MySpace page. For a limited time, "When My Time Comes" is available for free download on the MySpace page, too.
